Early in-person voting for the November 4, 2025, General Election officially began across Ohio on Tuesday, October 7, giving voters a head start on making their voices heard in this year’s local contests.
Here in Adams County, voters will decide on a variety of township, school board, and village races, helping shape the future of local government, education, and community leadership. Election officials encourage residents to take advantage of the convenience of early voting to avoid long lines on Election Day.
Where to Vote Early
Early in-person voting is held only at your county’s Board of Elections office — located on 23 Sunrise Ave, Room 101, West Union, OH.
Voters must bring a valid photo ID to cast their ballots in person. Accepted forms include an Ohio driver’s license, state ID, U.S. passport, or military ID.
Early Voting Hours
Early voting hours vary in the weeks leading up to Election Day. The statewide schedule for in-person early voting is as follows:
- October 7–10, 2025: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- October 14–17, 2025: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- October 20–24, 2025: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- October 27, 2025: 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- October 28, 2025: 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- October 29–31, 2025: 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- November 1, 2025: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- November 2, 2025: 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Absentee Voting Also Available
For those who prefer to vote by mail, absentee ballots became available beginning October 7. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is October 28 at 8:30 p.m. Completed ballots must be postmarked by November 3 and received by the Board of Elections within the state’s allowed timeframe.
